We live in apartment buildings and as a "service" the administration provides a free filter every month. The cheapest, the most flexible. The filters are terrible. Living in Florida, there are a lot of floating sneezes. And we run the air conditioner 10 hours a day. Our air conditioner had stuck several times in the 2 years prior to purchasing these filters. Since then never again. And the air is not"raw". And how to explain it. Stuffy and damp? When you run all night? In any case, THAT is not it. I apply essential oils directly to the filter to spread the scent. Good. The filter is brown every month and I want to know that they are working well. Oh and the 16x16 size sucks, trying to find them at Home Depot or Lowes never had a problem getting them from that company. Very happy.
