Bought for my wife's laptop. It's a relatively new 17-inch touchscreen model from Dell that she has on her desk. It doesn't have an Ethernet port. We have 150/150 Mbps fiber at home and the best wifi she has ever seen was around 35 Mbps. Repeaters in the house seemed to drop out more often than one would expect. Bought a TechRise USB 3.0 to RJ45 adapter and plugged it into one of their laptop's USB ports. Wi-Fi turned off and she was connected. No further settings. Required in Windows 10. Went to the network point speed test and ran the test and it was over 100Mbps on both upload and download. Very happy camper.
