Review on Surco ST100 Spare Carrier Safari by Marc Stewart

Probably a great trunk for a "stock" part. Even when I had a 30" tire on this mount, it was enough to cause the post to deform. When I went to 33" tires, I had to modify and drill holes to make the tire fit at all, and reinforce the supports to keep the tire from bending the strut. Since the rack can carry the weight without issue, the design change was made to ensure this mount could properly hold any tire that is above standard.
