Review on 🍳 Magma A10-366-2-IND Cookware Set - 10 Pieces, Non-Stick Surface by Carl Ferguson

After reading the reviews I was a little apprehensive about this purchase. But I think the Magma brand is reliable, so I decided to take a chance. It also helped reading the company's response that a customer asked them to call them to inquire about the issues they were having. We bought this cookware set for a new bus that was due for delivery in June. I sent the dishes to a friend for us to collect. When I first tried the cookware, for some reason it didn't work. The induction hob switches off quickly after initialisation. Needless to say I was quite disappointed. As it was a new bus I thought maybe there was something wrong with the hob so I bought some induction pans to take us home, they worked right away. We put the dishes back in the box and focused on the long drive home, counting on me to initiate the return later. I decided to contact Magma and give them the opportunity to solve the problem. It wasn't long before I received a phone response to my email, but I was traveling and unable to communicate when the representative called. I agreed to call back later that day but before that I decided to give the dishes one more try and of course the second try was a success! I have no idea what the problem is. We have now had the opportunity to use it and I believe the product deserves a five star rating. It's well constructed and the fit and finish is excellent. The detachable handles are secure and I never felt like they could come loose. The pleasant moment is that the goods have sides without drops. The only thing I would like to point out is that the lid handles require a thumbtack when lifting. I'll see if I can find a silicone part that matches the metal handle. Otherwise a screw on the handle made of a less conductive material would be better than a stamped cap, IMHO. The main goal - a beautiful non-stick cookware set - was achieved. Excellent customer support from the company. Update - October 2016 After several months of use I am pleased to report that we are still very satisfied with this product. The initial issues we had were with the True Induction stove and not the cookware. As it turned out, we had to reset the hob switch multiple times to reinitialize it; little inconvenience. I updated each cap with Le Creuset Signature Phenolic Large Knobs (bought here at Revain). No tools or mods were required to replace them. Just unscrew the standard knobs and screw on the phenolic knobs, it's that simple. Le Creuset phenolic grips provide a more secure grip and don't conduct heat as well.
