Worked well to work around a problem somewhere in my ignition system. I installed the button in place of one of the cigarette lighters, eliminating the need to dismantle the steering wheel and splice the wires. Then a cable through the firewall and straight to the starter. The button only lights up when you press it. That's how I connected it. The output wires were red blue black black. I connected the red and blue wires to the red wire that powered the cigarette lighter. I attached the electric cable to the black one in the middle with the supplied nuts and routed it directly to the S-connection of the starter. I attached the outer black wire to the black ground wire that powered the cigarette lighter. Now I have to turn the key to the "on" position and push the button to start my 2006 GMC Sierra 1500. Has been working great for 3 months now.
