Review on 💧 Waterproof SPST Toggle Switch PICO 5588PT - 1/2" Hole, 2 Leads 6-16ga, 12V 25 Amp by Preston Molden

I made this to add a local on/off control for ambient lights that I added to my enclosed cargo trailer. The switch appears to be well made, with a durable rubber finish including added support where the wires exit the back of the switch housing. Hookup wires are 16 gauge and about 6 inches long. However, these are aluminum wires, not copper wires. There should be a gap of about 2 inches behind the panel for the switch. An additional rubber mount on the back of the switch keeps the wiring straight and rigid when flexed. I had to cut a hole in my trailer's rear bulkhead compartment to reveal the rear of the derailleur. I wish the threaded switch neck was a little longer. When it got through the trailer's top rail, sheet metal and aluminum outer panel, there were only a few threads left to unscrew the rubber cap. Time will tell how well this switch will hold up.
