Like many people, I've always wanted one of these. The idea is just...cool. So I was thrilled that I finally got one of these and decided to try it out in different ways. I took some hex nuts to test. I pre-drilled the starting holes in 2x4. I started with an impact wrench - probably not the best idea. He's really not very good at that. I'm pretty sure the impact damaged the interior. It's just not designed to work with something like that. The screws came loose better, but the screws tended to get stuck in it - a bad sign. The screw heads were also damaged. Next I tried a drill press. In that regard, it was no better or worse than using a nut when it comes to driving a bolt into a tree. It was quite handy to finally unscrew the bolts with a ratchet. It works well there and is very convenient. It held the screw fairly well and I was able to apply torque to get the screw in. Conclusion: This is a nice tool and it works. It's super comfortable. Best used with a ratchet when torque is required. A drill is good for unscrewing. I would not recommend using an impact wrench with it.
