Fine. The problem I had was that it wasn't deep enough to remove the fairlead and hook. My winch is a Warn so that size should be pretty standard. It would be nice if I left the hook connected to the shackle on the bumper, but I prefer to leave it on the fairlead and folded. I was able to use the holder by taking it apart and flipping it over so the plate would hang under the beak. So now it's really just a license plate holder instead of a cover. The powder-coated sheet metal construction is great. The fairlead and license plate openings are perfectly positioned. The fittings for the hinge hold the position, but can be moved if necessary. And the price is great.
