I bought this nutcracker for my daughter and grandson to crack different nuts and it is easy to use. I've read several reviews of how it breaks the shells and nuts into small pieces, but my 10-year-old grandson almost completely pulled the nut out of the walnut shell on the first try. You just have to rate how hard you push. And my hands are very weak and everyone including myself thought I didn't have enough strength to crack a nut with it, but I did it! It's not that difficult with this cracker. It also feels well made, durable and will hold up well over time. I am very happy with this cracker and will buy it again.
