🥜 Pecan Nut Cracker and 2 Picks, Walnut Plier Opener Tool with Non-slip Handle - Hiware Review

This is my first Nutcracker since childhood. What is the difference between this and the old fashioned ones which are just pliers. This Hiware Nutcracker is so easy to use and I have arthritis in my hand! Because even pressure is applied around the nut, the nut cracks evenly, leaving much larger chunks of walnut than before. I love this product --- you too!

Bought for splitting hazelnuts. Even at the narrowest point, the nutcracker is too big, the hazelnuts just roll out. The round part in the handle doesn't work well, I've tried many times. If you press moderately, nothing happens. If you press harder, the whole nut inside will crack and turn into crumbs. It is very difficult to find a middle ground here, it either does not bring anything or spoil the threshold.

I like how it feels in my hand. I grew up on the old skinny ones where it was difficult to even fit a nut between two handles. Brings up some really fun memories of my brother and I running around trying to pick up all those nuts that were rolling around the kitchen floor - good times - this tool cracks big nuts well, but you might need to get creative with the smaller ones.

I have ordered this and Anwenk which is similar but better. Both worked well, but this one couldn't handle the smaller pecans from my tree. Works well with Medium and Large. The little one doesn't crack because the narrowest part of the cup is still too big. Also, the spring was stiffer on this one and I actually removed it because it's easy to reopen (with a finger in the grip). The spring can be easily removed with pliers. I bought this nutcracker for my daughter and grandson to crack different nuts and it is easy to use. I've read several reviews of how it breaks the shells and nuts into small pieces, but my 10-year-old grandson almost completely pulled the nut out of the walnut shell on the first try.
