The modem I received was an Xfinity TG1682G model. Although the Cox website states that the Arris Model TG1682G modem is an approved modem, they are really referring to the Model TG1682G/CX version, which is only available from Cox. Took hours of phone calls and too many calls to Cox in 3 weeks to figure it out plus $20 return shipping. I've also learned that if Cox phone support can't fix an issue in 15 minutes, call a real Cox employee, not a contractor. The good news is that Cox will upgrade your non-Wi-Fi modem for free if you have a phone connection, this is built into the phone charges.
