First, I have a boat setup, not a bike! I chose this kit due to the limited space around my dash receiver. Most boat kits are a whopping 9.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall! In this kit it fits in the space I have. BUT the depth of the front of your device is only 3/8-1/2 inches max! Most new receivers have a protruding Lg volume knob and this kit is not intended for covering and sealing unless the unit is somehow inserted into the dash. I am currently looking at install/finish kits that I can modify like a "curb" to put this kit on top and still be waterproof. Wish me good luck. Must go back! All in all it seems like a decent build. Love the fact that it offers a clear view compared to all the ones that are so dark you can't see a thing! ***NOTE: I finally got around to installing my new system and decided I needed to open the box to separate the cover from the frame. Except NO FRAME! By the looks of it, Harleys should have a dash insert that this cover fits perfectly! So if you're thinking I'm going to put a frame on your surface for the lid to fit, FORGET IT! THAT DOES NOT EXIST! ng bc shadows to make it look like it has a frame!) So if you don't ride the Harley that's on the list, don't waste your time /$$! I have 2 days past my return window so I'm SOL! ATTENTION TO THE BUYER!
