If you are installing this in a Miata you will need to cut the wires on both the old pump connectors and the new one. Make sure you have a crimping tool and a wire crimping tool. You'll understand what I mean when you get there. Also, just discard the bottom rubber element on the old pump, but keep the old strainer. None of the filters included in the kit go deep enough into the fuel tank. Slide on the rubber grommet that came with the fuel pump, then put on the old strainer and secure the strainer with one of the metal rings that come with the new strainer. or two, or a socket to attach a ring to secure the screen. I secure the new pump to the assembly with a zip tie. The zip tie, along with the clamps that attach the hose to the pump and the hose to the top outlet of the assembly, will hold the fuel pump in place. For the price it's very fair for the work you have to figure out. I hope this speeds up the process for those buying this for their Miata. The pump really works.
