I have been wearing Top-Siders for many years as leisure shoes on the beach, in the swimming pool and everywhere in the summer. I was a little worried about some of the reviews suggesting the quality had dropped but decided to replace my almost ten year old Topiders anyway. I wasn't disappointed at all. The shoe still has the same great quality and comfortable fit right out of the box. Although the price has gone up a bit since my last pair, I still find them exceptionally valuable. I apply a thin layer of clear wax to seal the skin. I especially apply wax to the seam between the upper and the sole. Apparently they last longer. Measurements are accurate. While I never wear socks with these shoes I think you could, but may have to, adjust the size accordingly. Hopefully they last ten years. My highest recommendation.
