Well packaged, works straight away. A few months later he started making a lot of noise and then defecating. There were no leaks, the lid was tight, but when I shake the canister, air comes out. I took the top off and made sure the sealing areas were clean but the problem persisted. Ten months after purchase I replaced the filter media and when I turned it back on it just made a grinding noise (bearings?). It doesn't suck even if I suck it up manually. I have never found instructions on what to do with the broken engine assembly that needs replacing, but I have no choice but to pay them for the part to get my filter working and back in the tank.
