Hard to find size in stores

I undertook the unenviable task of renovating and recycling some old oak cabinet doors for our home. I've been doing this type of work for about 15 years. I went to my local hardware stores and found these round toe straps that fit the existing spaces (filled with rotten plastic straps). It was a mistake, very unusual for me. I didn't even know they came in different sizes. The ones I bought were over 2 inches tall and didn't even try to fit in the space available. Came here at Revain and here they are, 1 3/4" satin nickel pull rods. The price was a little higher than buying the standard size (2016) but I wanted the doors to be as authentic as possible. Proved to be great buy turned out. The spacing measured 1 3/4" but with the rotten plastic present I had to dig out the old parts and even then those 1 3/4" bars were very tight. If I could give you some installation advice , I would try to slide a piece into space and then start sliding. They fit well and are very comfortable. I expect in 50 years someone will curse me for trying to regenerate the doors, We bought 10 in total and all 10 worked very well, there was no variation between them.
