Good Replacement - Hardware for Mortise and Double Doors

Looks much better than the brown plastic hardware that was originally on the doors. I didn't have the strength to put them in so I had to use a block of wood and a hammer to hammer them in (I don't have a rubber mallet). They need to stay in place and work as intended.

Pros
  • Lots of Good Vibes
Cons
  • So Far So Good

Good find; but may not fit all

Either they are not quite 3/4" or the door holes are not quite 3/4" but they don't fit the holes at all. It's close enough to where I think we can fill the gap with hot glue or caulk to attach the handles. But they certainly won't stay in doors alone. Doors 60 years old. House 60 years old. Nothing is ever easy!

Very nice and deep finish

I bought this size because I have small hands and it also replicated the existing ones when I was remodeling my bedroom by replacing the sliding doors of the 1957 wardrobe with white sliding doors with half-height blinds. These poufs have a prettier finish and are deeper than the 2" I originally bought (and then returned) from a big store. They are not pinned down but have little protrusions on each side that hold them in place .after installation.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Perfect! - Hardware

These handles were perfect for retrofitting my 47 year old sliding closet doors. What I would most like to clarify for others is that these bars fit perfectly into existing 1 1/2 diameter holes that have already been drilled in the doors. The outside dimension of each rod is 1 3/4" as advertised. After much research I was hoping to avoid drilling and this was just what I needed. They also match perfectly with all of the other satin nickel hardware I have replaced in the room.

Pros
  • Endurance Test Results
Cons
  • Clarity

A good choice for sure!

perfect size and colour, perfect for the sliding doors we have fitted in our wardrobes. The quality can also be happy. You will of course need a drill to make the holes, so make sure you order one of those too! We placed them both inside and outside the door. I only wanted to do the exterior as these are closet doors and not a bathroom door. My wife wanted both sides to be ready and of course she was right. Practical handle for closing from the inside.

Pros
  • cute item
Cons
  • only available in white

Easy to install - just slide in and you're done!

Looks great and is very easy to install. This was a simple repair/upgrade that cost less than $6 and took about 5 minutes. The sliding closet doors in our guest room had cheap plastic knobs covered in paint. I pryed out the old doorknobs with a screwdriver and removed the adhesive underneath. Then I just installed new door handles. They have no nails to fasten them; There are some small ridges along the edges that hold the tie rods in place. They're pretty tight, but I'll add some glue…

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • reliability

I have done my best to center them in the hole

These latches were used to enhance the bathroom cabinet sliding doors. They were the same size as the finger pulls they replaced. I thought I would have trouble fitting them because they seemed quite tight. I've done my best to center them in the hole, but they barely fit - maybe only 1/16 inch. Another reviewer suggested using a kitchen towel and a rubber mallet. It worked, except for 6 or 7 strands of kitchen towel stuck under the edge "sealed" on the cabinet door - I had to carefully trim…

  • Sample for one year

Hard to find size in stores

I undertook the unenviable task of renovating and recycling some old oak cabinet doors for our home. I've been doing this type of work for about 15 years. I went to my local hardware stores and found these round toe straps that fit the existing spaces (filled with rotten plastic straps). It was a mistake, very unusual for me. I didn't even know they came in different sizes. The ones I bought were over 2 inches tall and didn't even try to fit in the space available. Came here at Revain and here…
