Poor manual latch design

I know this product is good value so I will not comment on cheaper material as that was expected. The material isn't really bad. The biggest problem is the manual latch in the door that comes with the product. The jamb that goes through the door is long enough to fit through the latch, however the latch has its own jamb. This post cannot be removed and I broke the latch trying to do so due to the cheap material. I ended up having to rip the message out of the previously installed padlock for it to work, but this design is terrible.
