The product itself works as intended but it was not realized that these locks come in a variety of standard sizes. I ordered the wrong one but was still able to use it after some extra drilling and cutting. Please ensure you order the exact size that fits your existing one.

Very bad design. I bought these to replace a loose sliding patio door. This product does NOT come with the correct parts. You must repair the parts yourself in order for the device to work properly. The cylinder is poorly integrated and this affects the function of the key. As a result, it is impossible to use the key at all. Very disappointed! Don't buy this

The included screws leave the new pen loose despite being the same length as my previous pen even when the screws are tight. to put it together as the screw and knob are misaligned. The key got stuck in the lock several times and required a lot of wiggling and strength to get it out. If we can't find a solution to keep it taut, we'll refund it.

Be careful. The block requires a plate over the latch on most doors. I hope you didn't throw away the plate as it is attached to the movement you are replacing. Luckily I had a plate. Also, the screws were 1/2" shorter than our vinyl door. The kit comes with three sets of screws, but they aren't long enough. Luckily we had matching screws with us. tight, just above the latch, quick adjust - works great!

So my previous doorknob cracked a few times and broke, I swapped the door handle and so this time I decided to go to the entrance with the key, have never worked with it and I was so excited to see the instructions until I saw the instruction document and the installation was very difficult. My question is what happens if you cut off too much of the latch on the outside handle key because the inside latch mechanism sticks out too far. Why can't I cut this piece off? I know this product is good value so I will not comment on cheaper material as that was expected. The material isn't really bad. The biggest problem is the manual latch in the door that comes with the product. The jamb that goes through the door is long enough to fit through the latch, however the latch has its own jamb. This post cannot be removed and I broke the latch trying to do so due to the cheap material. I ended up having to rip the message out of the previously installed padlock for it

Installation was very difficult, nothing fit as it should have. I have a handle that came with a Jeld-Wen sliding glass door and the quality of this replacement doesn't even come close to the quality that Jeld-Wen uses in their products. The lock is difficult to turn when trying to fix it in the closed position. So we only lock the door when we know we won't be there. The mortise lock on our patio door (which we use a lot) broke so we decided to replace the entire mechanism as the outside handle fell apart when we removed it. Our old TV had a key lock (which we never used) so we figured that would be the next option. The kit came complete but the instructions are terrible. I had the hardest time figuring out what to do. I ended up catching a bullet out of Pella's patio door and simply used the lock provided. Apparently, after disassembling the patio door handle mechanism, you need to insert the latch mechanism through the slot, then add the inside handle, and then cut the length of the shank at the lock.
