This particular air intake was used on my 2006 Winnebago van with Ford V10 gas engine. Very easy to install, instructions are clear. The only point I ignored during installation was almost the final step, the original plastic air intake horn had to be reinstalled which only seems to act as an airflow restrictor. This seemed at odds with what you're trying to achieve with the cold air intake, so I removed the "air horn" by doubling the area for air to enter the airbox. I haven't driven many miles since installing it, but I've driven it on the freeway, there was no "screaming" or loud "howling". I have experience with other cold air intakes when accelerating hard or going uphill. Sounds like factory inlet. So far, so good.
