I love these Schalge lock sets and only use them around the house. As someone who suffers from carpal tunnel issues, I find lever action door handles much easier to operate than the old "ball" style handles. The Latitude line features a stylish, modern and functional design that fits right in with the design of my home. The installation of the lock took a maximum of 5 minutes. It's as simple as assembling the strike plate (2 screws), locking mechanism (2 screws) and handles (2 screws). The latch is secure and works great. A word of caution to users of this and similar lock sets. Make sure the door is locked or unlocked depending on the situation when closing the door. This lock always opens from the inside, regardless of whether it is locked or not. Too often users close a door only to find that it is locked from the outside. That happened to me once. I understand the idea is to ensure that everyone can exit the building safely without fumbling with the locks in an emergency, but to do this you need to check the condition of the lock by checking the outside handle before closing the door.
