First of all, I've been using All-Clad cookware for over 20 years and I love how durable and easy to clean my pans are. I recently discovered that some new items I wanted to add to my collection are made in China and I was disappointed. But there were so many good reviews that I decided to take a chance and order a new one. I received my pasta pot today and I can absolutely see and feel the difference in this new pot compared to my original Pennsylvania made pot. The side walls are reminiscent of cheap aluminum pans, which I deliberately avoided when I bought them. And the weight of the pan is lighter than my old "original" coated pans. The strainer feels and sounds good, I think it should make straining easier. If you tap the side of the pot, it sounds flimsy and cheap. I'll try it for a week to see how it cooks. . Another thing that worries me is how it will hold up over time. Will it still look new like my 20 year old All Clad items, or will it wear out like cheap aluminum cookware? I hope not! I will update my review after use.
