Equipment could be better!

This is an entry level All Clad pan. Works, but stainless steel could be better. After the first use, small holes appeared at the bottom of the pan. I sent it in and was told it was my fault and it was sent back to me. Considering I've only used it once I'd say the quality could be improved. I use it from time to time but it's big/bulky so I won't be using it.

It's a bit lower than I want for cooking pasta

This pot is well made and works well enough - I have a problem with not being able to pour as much water in as you really need pasta Cook. If you fill it high enough, the water will squirt and squirt everywhere as you cook. But when it's on the anti-splash/anti-splash level, it's a little lower than I would like for pasta cooking. It really should have been done lower to the bottom of the pan with the insert but overall it does the job and I couldn't find anything better so it will work.

All Clad is Always the Best

I've always loved All Clad cookware and I'm thrilled again with my choice. A 6 liter pasta pan plus steamer is fine. Nice and heavy, but not too heavy to be moved from the electric stove to the kitchen sink to pour boiling water and pasta into the steamer to drain. And the handles stay cool, eliminating the need for oven mitts. I'll admit I had a different brand for a while and if I turned the burner up too high the bottom of the pot would warp and I realized I should always stick with…

Liner Pretty Useless

The liner would be much more useful if its bottom was deeper in the pot. I had to use a lot more water to cook the pasta and it took a very long time for the water to boil considering I didn't cook a full pot of pasta. The insert is too short and I don't think more than two batches of pasta will fit and cook evenly. The insert was thrown in the garage because we don't use it at all. The metal isn't as thick as the more expensive All Clad pans, but at least this pan is a little more affordable…

Poor quality product

All-Clad was the top brand between 2005 and 2010. Now they have poor quality "Made in China". They're as bad as General Motor Company, which lost the game in the auto industry. All-Clad is no longer worth buying as there are so many new companies out there with better designs and better products (do your own research). This is the type of pan I received today (see photo). It looks used, it's too small for a noodle pot because the water overflowed with only 1lb noodles and had a lot of stains…

I'm very happy about it, but

First of all, I've been using All-Clad cookware for over 20 years and I love how durable and easy to clean my pans are. I recently discovered that some new items I wanted to add to my collection are made in China and I was disappointed. But there were so many good reviews that I decided to take a chance and order a new one. I received my pasta pot today and I can absolutely see and feel the difference in this new pot compared to my original Pennsylvania made pot. The side walls are reminiscent…

Smaller - Steamer, Stock and Pasta Pots

I was trying to swap out a large pot from a different brand for one that cooks a little faster. The one I have, a well-known brand that claims to be "induction-ready," takes about 30 minutes to boil water. The fully cased pots that we have usually heat up very quickly on our induction cooktop. However, it's a bit difficult to know in advance since most of these pans have an aluminum sandwich "feature". I have a friend. In fact, this is not a very practical size. Of course, fully cased pans…

WOW! What a great medium sized pot/pasta!

We are an All Clad family and bought this because of the brand and size. We LOVE this pot. It's big enough for four people's pasta and we don't have to use our huge pot and colander. We also use it for small portions of soup and chili when not cooking for company or leftovers. I. Its smaller size means you can store it alongside other pots and pans (even share lids with some other All Clad items). With our large pot/colander we have to keep it in a high (not in the way) cupboard and it's very…
