We are an All Clad family and bought this because of the brand and size. We LOVE this pot. It's big enough for four people's pasta and we don't have to use our huge pot and colander. We also use it for small portions of soup and chili when not cooking for company or leftovers. I. Its smaller size means you can store it alongside other pots and pans (even share lids with some other All Clad items). With our large pot/colander we have to keep it in a high (not in the way) cupboard and it's very difficult to get to. It's the "right" size! The steel is a little thinner than our regular All Clad cookware, but it WORKS GREAT. Please note that the bottom of the pot is an overlay disc which is FULLY INDUCTION COMPATIBLE. The heavy magnetic base is forever attached and is the key element of this set. The sides of the pot aren't as thick as regular All Clad pots (they aren't "clad"), but who cares!?!? Honestly, it's great that the base is heavy, but the pan is a little lighter! This pot works great, looks GREAT and has a SUPERIOR cooking quality compared to our other All Clad products. Don't be put off by the low price. .This pasta pot is AMAZING! Winner Winner, PASTA DINNER!
