This is a great size if you are knitting intarsia or yarn (fer-yle) on needles! You simply wrap the yarn around the spool lengthwise and the little tab at the top prevents you from unwinding more yarn than you need at once, saving you from having to hang ten balls of yarn off the back of your knit. drive and get confused. I'm doing my first intarsia project right now and decided it was time to buy some of these and I'm so glad I did. I'm glad it came in a 7 pack, I had to make two more out of cardboard until the next 7 pack I ordered arrived. That's great!
