My daughter needed a new mirror for her 2012 Honda CRV Passenger. I've had Hondas for years and knew if it should be easy to tilt the old mirror, pry it out with a screwdriver, and then insert the new one. This mirror was beautifully packaged and had great instructions. After wrestling with it for about 20 minutes (should be 30 seconds), I carefully compared the old and new mirrors. There were 4 extra tabs that look like they would fit the mount but just don't fit. I used a very small pair of pliers to grab the 4 tabs and unscrew. The new mirror was easy to install. That's a great mirror and now it fits. With the right amount of pressure it might snap into place without modification, but too much force can't be applied - it's a plastic-framed glass mirror that breaks easily. Remove the tabs if yours don't fit, obviously not on the OEM part.
