That's right Type

There are TWO types for the passenger side mirror, one with a circular assembly in the center on the back of the mirror, the other with 2 inserts at the top of the back of the mirror. I have the last one, it fits the frame well. The only thing you should watch out for is that you use a lot of force to let the plastic lock snap into place (there are also 2 of these at the bottom on the back). As some others have said, applying lube to their surface makes this process easier.

There are 2 styles to replace this mirror glass.

As mentioned above, there are two types of mirror glass replacements. The first thing I got was the wrong type of mount on the mirror motor. So I just ordered another style which after looking closely at the photos of the second one seemed to be the right one. A small amount of grease/lubricant, even petroleum jelly, will help keep the mirror in place. It also helps if the glass is "fairly" warm (not too hot), which will soften the plastic a little during installation. Press gently with a…

Tabs removed to make it usable!

My daughter needed a new mirror for her 2012 Honda CRV Passenger. I've had Hondas for years and knew if it should be easy to tilt the old mirror, pry it out with a screwdriver, and then insert the new one. This mirror was beautifully packaged and had great instructions. After wrestling with it for about 20 minutes (should be 30 seconds), I carefully compared the old and new mirrors. There were 4 extra tabs that look like they would fit the mount but just don't fit. I used a very small pair of…

Good replacement but maybe different from the original mirror

I bought this mirror to replace my 2007 CR-V. I was able to remove the old broken mirror with a butter knife and attach the new one in about ten minutes. Fits and looks good. I should add that it only took me a day to realize that my old Honda mirror looks like flat glass, but this one is convex. So in my left and middle mirror objects appear at the same distance, and in the new one objects appear much smaller and farther away. I also noticed that unlike this one, there is no "objects in the…
