I bought this case because it was described as waterproof. I did a little test to see if that's true. The storage bag seems to be made of the same material, which is why I used it for my test. I placed the bowl in the bag and then poured water into the bowl on the outside of the lid. See image. After a few hours there was no more moisture on the surface of the bowl. The shell was still dry the next morning. Later that evening I checked again and found moisture in the bowl. Not much, but the lid isn't waterproof. I don't know what will happen in the long run. I'll go tomorrow and update my review. I'll probably leave it because it's definitely better than nothing. I might cover it with a blue tarp to add an extra layer of protection.
