Review on πŸš— Enhance Braking Performance with Power Stop S1618A Performance Caliper by Robert Chandrasekar

Get another brand, they're not worth it.

I purchased my calipers from Rock Auto so this will not be a verified review. Both rear calipers seized within a month of installation. They completely destroyed the new brake pads and at the same time overheated and deformed the new brake discs that I installed. They were replaced under warranty and prior to installing the replacement I disassembled and lubricated everything and this time used Lucas X-TRA Heavy Duty Grease. They lasted about a year before needing to be removed, wire soldered and re-greased. This has become preventive maintenance to be performed every spring and fall when changing winter/summer tires. Strange. The powder coating sucks visually. It was applied VERY thinly in one coat so it peels off at the edges and eventually peels off completely. Because it is a thin layer of inferior powder, the brake dust also penetrates the coating and cannot be removed. If you don't clean them daily, they become disgusting very quickly. They are NOT worth the price. I will never buy Power Stop again.
