First off, this device is NOT UL certified as advertised. When you open a product, it is explicitly stated that it is "UL Compliant". This is NOT the same as UL certification. UL has never tested the product or approved its design. This is a really sneaky marketing tactic that makes me even less confident using this thing. another way to identify them. This is very schematic for a device that can burn down your house if it fails. The range of the remote control is about a foot or so. It's pretty much useless. The entire body of the heater, except for the metal grille painted with spray paint, is plastic and not very thick. The base has to be assembled and is so wobbly that the heater can hardly stand on its own. This is really incredibly cheesy design. The first thing I noticed when I turned on the heater was the distinct smell of burnt plastic. I guess that's to be expected when the thing is almost entirely made of it, but the smell still lingers in my room after a few hours. Don't walk away from this product. To run!
