My old belt visibly snapped at the grooves so I replaced it as a precaution. After some research I chose this belt over the OEM because it was the same price and could be quieter. I can't say I feel a difference, but I've never thought of the belt making an unusually loud noise. It's been a few weeks and no problems so far. I'll try to update the review if I run into any issues, but this seems like a decent strap. And it's pretty quick to install on this truck. I probably spent 15-20 minutes, kind of obsessing, making sure I put it on right since I've never done it before, but it really couldn't have been much easier. The only tricky part is finding a breaker or socket wrench with a handle long enough on the belt tensioner so you can bend it back to loosen the belt. There was a tight squeeze between the fan and something else, but I got it to work without unscrewing anything other than the air intake housing. It's also a little tiring to put a belt on all the pulleys, especially the lower left one (AC I recall, but not positively) but then again, not too bad. Just follow the diagram in the engine compartment.
