I am an electrical engineer and I can say with confidence to EVERYONE such a UNI-T UT12A AC voltage detector will be the most useless thing for an electrician! It is not possible to determine which particular wire is energized in the bundle, which wire (broken through) and where the break is. The only thing that can be done more intelligently with this device is to look for wires under the plaster, but such work is only needed when it is necessary to drill holes in the wall. In gray rooms, the search for a damaged cable (wire) in the wall will be difficult due to the spread of current over the surface. It is generally not possible to determine the voltage of a cable in metal pipes with this device! Conclusion: This priborchik little effective and little functional!
