Review on 🔌 Kidde KA-F Quick Convert Adapter for Firex Wiring Harness - 6 Pack, Facilitating Kidde Alarm Installation by Devin Lee

I bought 12 of these to convert my expired Firex smoke alarms to Kidde model KN-COSM-IBA combined smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. It seemed easier to use these which adapt a Kidde socket to an existing Firex plug than to rewire an existing box with the new wiring harness that comes with the detector. , and also fits the existing Firex fork perfectly, but the diameter of the adapter is too big. It is not possible to screw the detector to the ceiling/wall plate as the edge of the adapter extends approximately 1/8 inch beyond the perimeter of the plate's center hole on one side. , you could probably use a file or knife for this, but be aware that it won't work without it.
