Any running shoe needs to be properly fitted at a reputable running specialty store. However, this is a quality shoe for the right foot. Add a stake for a high arch as I don't think your statement about the high arch is correct. It is also one of the best running shoes with high cushioning. Decent sock, great cushioning, some durability, can't find any hotspots. This is for my daughter for Cross Country Team Training. Be sure to use heavily cushioned shoes for sidewalks like the teenage team kids do. I use them for long distance training before marathons and they work for me too. The 8mm drop is helpful.
