Sturdy rungs but flexible sides

This is a sturdy ladder and would be great in a place where it had something to brace against. Unfortunately my balcony is the only point of exit from my second story and the ladder sides are so flexible, the ladder swings under the balcony making for a very difficult climb. If something anchored it at the bottom it would help. Just an issue with my architecture.

Pros

Hlas I spent the extra dollar. This is by far the most sturdy that I have ever purchased
