Review on Thang Long Vietnamese Coffee Filter Maker Press - Authentic Screw Down Phin, Medium Size (8 oz) - Made in Vietnam by Tina Harris

I missed the strong Thai iced coffee from before and thought this style of brewing must be very close. I have to say I am very pleased and the drinks were strong and flavorful reminiscent of the old days. You need to be patient with the process as the dripper is slow. The instructions are clear and simple, with photos of each step. I will say that I did not measure 30 ml for wetting the grind, only by eye, but everything worked out. It would be nice to use the recommended coffee, Trung Nguyen, as well as sweetened condensed milk. This set is the only one I've looked at that had a screw tamper (they call it a screw bit) which does a good job of packing. Grind tight for drip processes. I don't have another style of tamper for grinding, so I can't tell if there's a difference. The quality of the set is very good.
