Description of Thang Long Vietnamese Coffee Filter Maker Press - Authentic Screw Down Phin, Medium Size (8 oz) - Made in Vietnam

SCREW DOWN VIETNAMESE COFFEE FILTER- This is a 4 piece Vietnamese Coffee Filter. Pieces include the brew chamber, the screw down insert, the drip tray (base plate), & the lid. Quality, robust, smooth screw down mechanism screws all the way down acting as a coffee press allowing you to pack the coffee the desired amount. This allows you to control the strength of the brew. Packaged in a beautiful box & comes with detailed instruction sheet. HIGH QUALITY- This Thang Long Vietnamese Coffee Filter is made in Vietnam with high quality stainless steel. You may find cheaper filters online, or at your local Asian Market. However the quality will likely be inferior (often made in China & not Vietnam). Why not pay a touch more for this quality Vietnamese Coffee Maker that will last a lifetime (backed by a lifetime warranty)? Dishwasher safe. VIETNAMESE COFFEE DRIPPER- Drip coffee is an awesome technique to brew coffee (we prefer this to a French Press) & the brewing process for this drip filter takes approximately 4-5 minutes. During this time you can watch & smell in mouth watering anticipation. Have fun & show your friends this interesting technique which is environmentally friendly (no paper filters needed), requires very little storage space, is portable, & easy to clean. Great for home, the office, travelling, & camping. DELICIOUS COFFEE- Why pay $5 at your local Vietnamese restaurant when you can make delicious Vietnamese coffee with this strainer from the comfort of your own home? Works well with traditional Vietnamese Coffee such as Trung Nguyen, Weasel Coffee, or grind your own Vietnamese Coffee beans or your other favourite non Vietnamese coffee (set to medium-coarse grind). Make the perfect Vietnamese Iced Coffee (Caphe Sua Da), you will be in heaven!. PERFECT SIZE- This phin filter is a one cup individual coffee maker. 8 oz is our best selling size & brews about 6-7 oz of coffee. More water can easily be added (once some filters through) to increase the volume if desired. This size fits on most cups/mugs. Refer to photo on the left for specific dimensions. We are so confident that you will love our filter that if you are not happy you can return it for a full refund. Start enjoying today yourself & consider ordering a 2 pack as a gift!.

Excellent customer service

My original fin that I bought had part of the center filter screw breaking off after a week of use. I contacted the seller and he responded quickly and sent me a replacement. Great customer service and great fin! Ideal for preparing Vietnamese coffee

The best Vietnamese coffee filter outside of Vietnam!

I love this coffee filter! I used to spend $5 a day to buy Vietnamese coffee, I'm tired of wasting money every day! I bought this filter and some Vietnamese coffee, now I can drink Vietnamese iced coffee whenever I want! It's easy to use, clean and works like a charm! Great coffee filter, trust me you need it too!

Dislikes in coffee machines

There was a sticker on the body of the coffee machine that was difficult to remove. Even after removing it left a discolored outline. In addition, when pouring water, the flow through the built-in filter at the bottom of the brewer does not allow water to flow evenly through all the holes, it is possible that the holes are of different sizes. If you don't hold the brewer under running water, you won't see the water shower. Generally not impressed.

  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Periodicity

Perfect! on French presses

I really like this style of brewing. As someone who loves both Pour Over and French Press, I had to try this. I like my black coffee and that makes the coffee taste different. The extraction method, basically similar to pour-over, is much more powerful but very gentle. Not exactly espresso, but stronger than a pour over or French press. The product is very well made and easy to use once you get used to it. Since I don't make traditional Vietnamese coffee, it took me a few tries to get the ratio

Can't live without the best in kitchen and dining

Can't live without! Years ago I discovered Thai-style filter coffee. Then I found that I can do it at home with this device! it was for me! I like the quality of it. I also get a strong espresso every morning! I take it with me on hikes etc. and never have to do without strong filter coffee. Hey, it takes time to find the right grind size and amount you need. but once you realize it's not hard! Just tap the bottom lightly, screw on the lid and pour in hot water! the stronger you make it, the…

Perfect little espresso maker

This is one of the many Vietnamese coffee makers I've had over the past 20 years, most from my local Vietnamese supermarkets. Strangely my stores stopped stocking them and when my old one needed a replacement I decided to buy this one as my old ones were $1.99. It's much nicer than my others and is easy to use and clean. When I make coffee I personally add 3 tablespoons of my favorite medium roast coffee and I like to pack it tightly so it drips slowly. As long as I have 1 1/2 tablespoons of…

Very easy and fun!

. I bought this hoping to make my own Vietnamese coffee and finally tried it today. I don't understand why some of the reviews had a hard time because it was so EASY to use. I took the 8oz size and put in three tablespoons of Cafe Du Monde coffee (the same one I saw at my favorite Pho spot can be ordered from Revain). I followed the directions and rotated it to pack the thickness but did a few half turns to make room. I poured some water to soak the set and waited 30 seconds. After that I…

Makes good, strong coffee, perfect for iced coffee!

I missed the strong Thai iced coffee from before and thought this style of brewing must be very close. I have to say I am very pleased and the drinks were strong and flavorful reminiscent of the old days. You need to be patient with the process as the dripper is slow. The instructions are clear and simple, with photos of each step. I will say that I did not measure 30 ml for wetting the grind, only by eye, but everything worked out. It would be nice to use the recommended coffee, Trung Nguyen…
