What a mess! Uneven Color, Thickness, Softness, VERY Tightly Rolled

When I opened the package, I was disappointed that it had not become softer. So I knew it had to be used for something hard. I decided to make a small shoulder bag for the summer. COLOR: The colors are vibrant but the outside of the bead (mine) is a combination of orange, fuchsia, lime and dark green. Then, as I made my way to the center of the ball, it was a completely different color scheme: pale pink, purple, neon yellow, teal, white, and red. The? So I stopped crocheting because it would end up looking so ugly. I understand this is a combination of many colors that I found attractive judging by the picture in the listing. But at least make each strand uniform, and it would be very nice if 2 strands were the same. THICKNESS: In some places they're as thin as a sports weight, in others they're bulky. I don't mind small variations that can add an artistic effect, but that's too much. CLEANING: There are a lot of tufts, so you have to work hard to smooth them out. If you crochet like this, you will end up with a fabric with large lumps. SOFTNESS: It was also very different, somewhere softer, somewhere very prickly. even harder. I stopped every half row, got up and, while hanging around, tried to spin it, 6 feet at a time. I like to work fast, but I figured if the end product was good, I'd put a little more energy into it. When I got to the brand new color scheme and spiky bits, I finally said it was too much to handle. So I'm sending it back. When paying $26 for (2) 100 gram skeins I expect superior quality. Sorry, this is a failure!
