Review on VT500 Voltage Tester: 12V-300V Non-Contact & Contact, LCD Display, Buzzer Alarm & Wire Breakpoint Finder by Jason Masango

As other evaluators have stated, this test device does NOT show an actual voltage (e.g., 120 volts). It's supposed to according to the instructions.but it does not.However, everything else about the device works as it should. Has some silly features like a battery polarity test -- what battery does not have its polarity marked? But for the very reasonable cost, it's handy to have in order to quickly differentiate a hot wire from a neutral wire. Can't depend on the color of the wire -- and in the case of my brand new house, the wires are all the same color -- and/or sprayed with white paint : -)
