I was very excited about this product and thought it was just what I needed - now I don't think so. Part of the case holds the GPS securely to the clear plastic window so I can see it and operate the screen with ease. It includes some foam inserts so you can choose the right depth for your device and press it firmly against the window. At the bottom there is a hole with valves for the wire, which will certainly prevent water from entering. What I don't like is that the strap attachment system just can't be tight enough that the whole thing doesn't sit securely on my handlebars. I can tug and tug on the strap but it doesn't make another click to be tight enough. With the block in my pocket it's too heavy to stay where I want it and ends up spinning towards my gas tank. I end up having to flip my bag up to see it when I'm stopped at a traffic light, not while driving like I should. Sorry I didn't play around with a piece of tubing or some other liner. If I needed it, it should have been in the kit. It's become more of a distraction than a tool and is the last thing a rider needs. I'm sure I'll end up setting it up by either finding a better spot (not many options on a non-touring bike) or ripping it off and leaving the GPS in my jacket pocket for spot checks. Great accessory that I expected.
