I use FreeLIMS since last 2 years, it’s great tool, everyone should have one. When I say FreeLIMS, I mean "free LIMS” because FreeLIMS is not only an open source LIMS, it is also completely FREE! FreeLIMS offers all the functions required for any lab workflow, from sample collection, processing, analysis and reporting. It allows labs to share samples and analyses with other labs, sharing and collaborating on projects. In addition, FreeLIMS offers the best price/performance ratio compared to commercial solutions, offering lab managers the best ROI for their budget.
Pros
- FreeLIMS is an open source LIMS (Lab Information Management System)
- Allows users to collect data easily with the web form and save it to cloud storage such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
Cons
- No sample picker when importing files from cloud drive or dropbox
- The application crashes when trying to export results
- Cannot upload.xlsx file format directly
