I love this bag as it's the perfect size and to be honest it's more waterproof than waterproof. If I have to carry things in the rain, I also lock my laptops and any gadgets I might need. I only use it on light trips and in the rain. I don't know about a hurricane or thunderstorm, but as the name and photos would suggest, it doesn't close completely. Therefore, this bag is more suitable for the beach, where you can store your damp used clothes after a long day. It's certainly easy to clean and I would definitely throw it in the mud or off a cliff - just NOTHING indoors - just wet towels. The material is therefore well suited for leisure use. But I'm not going out and I still have to secure my things. I'm not sure things won't get wet, but I know they won't get scratched. If it had a zipper I would definitely try it in a storm or underwater but unfortunately it doesn't close. So I can't use it for day trips with my electronic devices. I should have checked the zipper or the seal, but that doesn't mean I can't wear them. Hope. Hope this all helps.
