Review on RockShox Reverb Standard Bleed Kit by Leo Fairchild

Revainrating 5 out of 5

YES you need it

At first I thought the price for a pair of syringes and 4 ounces was a bit high. Liquids. But after using it I can say it was worth it. The hose fittings on the syringes are well made and way better than most bleed kits I've used. The pumping process only takes a few minutes and there is no mess. Bleeding reverberation is much easier than bleeding brakes. Anyone can do it. And since reverbs require a lot of attention, chances are you'll be using this kit a lot. Think of it as buying a new tool. It's well made and you get a lot of it. One note: my pipette stopped working and was completely stuck in the retracted (down) position. I did the bleeding as instructed, but with the pen retracted. Once the air was removed and the system closed (the bleed screws were back in place), pressing the actuator popped the strut out nicely. I did a quick second flush with the pen out to remove any remaining air and everything seems to be working great. Bleeding solved the stuck dripper problem, at least temporarily - time will tell if there are more serious problems with the seals.

Pros
  • Brand new syringe and tubing connectors for improved pumping performance
Cons
  • No
