This appears to be a well made product but I would like to mention one caveat. If you have something connected to the UPS (backup battery) and place that cable between the wall and the UPS, you will be surprised. Turning off the power turns off the GFCI power supply. When power is turned back on, the GFCI will not reset. You have to reset it manually. As a result, anything you have plugged into it will remain powered off until you physically press the reset button. Imagine being away all day and the power went out for 10 minutes. Your UPS will provide power during this time, but when power returns, it will not power the UPS or your equipment because the GFCI has been disabled. Your UPS battery is quickly drained and everything you have connected to it shuts down. I wanted to use it for my aquarium, but for the above reason it is totally unsuitable for this application. Only use it for appliances/devices that won't stay on or need to be turned on again after a power outage.
