Review on XY 380 Aquarium Biochemical Sponge Filter by Jenny Howard

Good buy :D on Filter accessory

Why haven't I found this before? :V Basically you just take them instead of air stones. Do this. This is literally aeration AND filtration of small particles and pests in the water. Ever since I put them in my aquarium, they've been crystal clear. The basic concept of these devices is that they are submerged in water with an air hose attached in the middle. ; Air is pumped through the hose and pushed back up through a clear plastic tube that sticks out at the top (which is removable). In this case, ventilation is carried out with the help of bubbles. However, what is actually happening here is that the water is being pushed up and down by the sponge, the water is being sucked up by that sponge and so this is where your filtration comes into play. Sounds crazy, but works wonders. As for "how well this thing sinks": when you get this filter, don't pour tap water on it to "clean" it, but grab a bucket and pour some water on it. Water for your fish (it comes from the aquarium) in a bucket and then put this filter in it. The trick is to squeeze the filter several times and it will sink on its own! Magic! This sponge has a weighted base so it can be used in a bare bottom aquarium. Just don't forget to express your problems as advertised. Yes. Good buy! 10/10 my molly thank you very much
