The stock shock absorbers were removed from our '87 Mits Mighty Max. This is a direct OEM replacement for front shock absorbers. No surprises. Installed on all four corners in less than 2 hours. The fronts of these cars are not strut assemblies, so they are much easier to install. You will need a second front jack to compress them into the space inside the spring. Once you've lifted it to the closed position, you can start tightening the bottom screws. Once the bottom bolts are in place (not tightened), you can remove the jack and fully tighten the bottom bolts and top nuts. Ride quality will improve significantly. In fact, the truck can be driven over bumpy roads without feeling like it's flying into a ditch.
