Don't get your hopes up

Don't get your hopes up for that feel/look like wood. In fact, it's just a brown thread with a semi-matte, slightly rough finish. Finished products are somewhat brittle. A pencil cup I printed with a few small details ripped easily (same item is indestructible made from regular PLA). I would recommend printing at 100% infill to maximize durability. The brown color will disappear if you scrape it off and what's left will remain white. The photo shows the toothpaste key that I printed out. The tracks appeared when I took him out of bed. The finished product isn't quite matte - it still has a slight plastic sheen - so it won't fool anyone into thinking it's wood in most lighting conditions. . I had a little head blockage that messed up the pressure at this temp so maybe I can increase it a bit. The smell when printing was typical, not too strong. Not very stretchy. VERY stiff on the spool and breaks easily when you bend it. So don't try to smooth them too much when loading. All in all, this thread is just MEH. I won't be returning it, but I probably won't use it that often either. There are several disadvantages (brittleness, clogging) and in the end the product does not look like wood.
