I bought these J-Racks to hold my wife's 9ft 6in SOT kayak. These racks did a great job of holding my wife's kayak throughout our 600 mile trip. I will add that the product comes with two cam straps as well as ropes to tie the bow and stern. I used ratchet straps (not too tight) and cam straps on the posts themselves. " Rola struts on my SUV. The product seems to be of good quality and while I'll probably leave the struts on, it only takes 5-10 minutes to remove or install them (if so). Overall are these struts comparable to the more expensive models bought by my friends i can't speak about the durability of the product as i haven't owned it long but they seem to hold up well and have quality hardware i will keep this review of course update time is running out.
