I primarily cut 1/4" Baltic Birch in one pass. There was another reviewer for these bits who said they don't use tabs on their cut pieces so I tried a single pass with no tabs and for the most part it works if the waist shavings fill in the existing cut line. . With small details, this is problematic. For some reason, vertical cuts are better than standard (soft break) cuts for this operation. Feed rate 100 inches per minute at 12,000 rpm. Deviation from a straight path 0.004 inch. I can usually cut about 2500 inches with one bit before it needs to be replaced. There are no top or bottom breaks, and as long as you perform a standard cut (no lifting), cut surfaces require minimal post-processing work.
