I am very disappointed in the lock and will throw it away.

This lock is useless as it makes opening the tailgate ten times more difficult when unlocked. That was always a problem, even when it was new. My grip is now broken due to the force required to overcome the spring loaded locking levers. I am very disappointed with the lock, I will throw it away and look for a new handle and a different lock option. I'm very knowledgeable with vehicles, I've worked as a mechanic, body builder and built countless street bars from scratch etc etc and this lock design is complete bullshit. I would only be happy if they sent me another really working lock with a spare handle.
